Passionate about helping and guiding clients back to joyful movement, with an emphasis in progressive strength-based rehab
Movement is my JOY and my PASSION. I have a love of all things movement, exercise and sport. My athletic career has evolved over the years, from gymnastics and soccer as a child, to runner and triathlete, to powerlifter, to crossfitter and back to runner. Regardless of the form, my commitment to myself is to being healthy and strong.
My knowledge and understanding of human movement combined with my empathy and compassion towards my clients and their goals is the backbone of my approach to physiotherapy.
With a personal and professional mantra of joy in movement, I believe that if this joy is lost, it can always be restored, rebuilt, reinvented and rediscovered.
My physiotherapy approach uses education and progressive exercise as the primary tools when assisting clients in rehabilitating themselves. With 14+ years experience as a physiotherapist, I have applied my approach in private practice orthopaedics and within the Ottawa Police Service and the Canadian Armed Forces.
As an avid sports fan, in addition to running through the greenbelt and doing back squats in my free time, I can be found cheering for Liverpool Football Club and following the latest UCI cycling and Athletics Canada race results.
